La Cuisine Chef’s Wine: White Wine Saffron Fish Stock Base
This tasty fish stock is ideal for your favorite Bouillabaisse recipe.
Using your favorite Bouillabaisse recipe, in a large nonreactive stockpot*, substitute 1 cup of La Cuisine Chef’s Wine (Saffron) for the recipe’s white wine, herbs and spices (reminder: LCCW has no added salt or preservatives). Add favorite fish / shellfish. Continue with the recipe’s instructions.
Ingredients:
-1 cup La Cuisine Chef’s Wine – Saffron*
-2 pounds white fish bones
-Shells and tails from 1/2 pound of shrimp
-2 slices thick cut bacon
-2 medium onions, chopped
-2 medium carrots, chopped
-2 ribs celery, chopped
-2 crushed garlic cloves
